Dr. Omid Liaghati, MD, CCFP, CAPM is a licensed Canadian family physician specializing in chronic pain management. He combines medication and interventional techniques in his practice, including nerve blocks, chemical nerve ablation, PRP therapy, stem cell therapy, and phototherapy to provide comprehensive care for patients with persistent pain.

Ms. Brooke Morrisseau is the CEO of Cellovian Scientific and a regenerative medicine and biologics educator specializing in the translation of foundational cell physiology, biologic structure, and tissue engineering principles into responsible clinical education and implementation. Her work focuses on helping clinicians develop a signaling- and structure-based understanding of biologic systems to support informed, independent decision-making in clinical practice. She has served as a scientist at SUNY Oswego and Keuka College, where her work involved biologics and protein purification with emphasis on biologic structure and cell signaling mechanisms. Brooke has also served as an educator at the University of South Florida, teaching body composition and human metabolism, further grounding her work in applied physiology and translational science. Her entry into regenerative medicine was shaped by a personal experience that led to deeper study of cell science and the body's inherent repair processes. Today, her teaching emphasizes education-first frameworks, manufacturing transparency, and ethical knowledge transfer, underscoring that sustainable progress in regenerative medicine and biologics depends not only on scientific innovation, but on how well foundational physiology is understood and responsibly implemented in clinical settings.

Dr. Bradley Johnson practices in Interventional Chronic Pain in Ontario, Canada. His practice uses a combination of Phenol Chemical Ablation, Local Anesthetic, Neuromodulators, Platelet Rich Plasma, and Exosomes in order to treat chronic pain. Dr. Johnson is an Advanced Diplomate of the Canadian Academy of Pain Medicine, a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and holds a Faculty position in the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Dr. Johnson has a keen interest in using different types of interventional procedures in order to help improve the function and quality of life for his patients.

Dr. Kaijing Yan, Ph.D. is the Director of the Tasly Institute of Life Rejuvenation in Tianjin, China, and Chairman of the Tasly Bio-Medicinal Industry Group. An accomplished scientist and entrepreneur, Dr. Yan holds degrees in computer science, finance, and traditional Chinese medicine, along with postdoctoral training in stem cells and regenerative medicine. He leads pioneering research that integrates AI, single-cell omics, and clinical translation of regenerative therapies, contributing to U.S. FDA–approved stem cell products and advancing the global understanding and clinical application of mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs).

Dr. Schaefer is a senior researcher and lecturer at the University and University Hospital in Basel, Switzerland. A biochemist by training, he specializes inthe PI3K/AKT signaling pathwayand the molecular-functional regulation of the stem cell factor SOX2.With more than 20 years of professional experience in academia and industry, Dr. Schaefer is a standing member of the German Society for Hematology and Medical Oncology (DGHO), the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR), the American Chemical Society (ACS), and the Biochemical Society, London. Derek Martinez is a Biology lecturer at the University of New Mexico–Los Alamos Campus. He earned an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of New Mexico School of Engineering in 2020. He has taught several undergraduate courses, including Human Body, Anatomy and Physiology, Biology for Health Sciences, and Organic Chemistry. His research interests include cancer biology, metabolism, gene therapy, and clinical applications of induced pluripotent stem cells. He was recently recognized as a ROSE Scholar for his work on mesoporous silica nanoparticles for drug delivery. He also develops evidence-based, inclusive, interactive learning software (digital activities) to support improved learning outcomes in Biology for Health Sciences, and he is interested in creating similar resources for Organisms to Ecosystems, Anatomy and Physiology, and Microbiology for Health Sciences.

Dr. Merve Sunguroglu graduated from Izmir Anatolian High School (German Department) and was admitted to the Biology (English) Department. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she gained experience in various scientific fields and spent six months at the University of Helsinki in 2011 through an Erasmus scholarship. She completed her undergraduate thesis in biochemistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alaattin Şen. After graduating in 2013, she pursued a master’s degree in Forensic Sciences at both the Police Academy and Ankara University. In 2015, she received specialized training in mitochondrial DNA and fingerprint analysis in Taiwan through a government scholarship and participated in a Human Rights Workshop in Sweden for one month with a Police Academy scholarship. Currently, she is completing her doctoral thesis, supported by an Ankara University Scientific Research Project, titled “Use of Nitric Oxide as a Biomarker in Cardiovascular Deaths.” Dr. Sunguroğlu has multiple national and international publications and is committed to advancing scientific research in the spirit of the Republic of Turkey, guided by the principles of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Mrs. Juliana Leal Rodrigues da Costa is a Brazilian pharmacist, graduated from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), and currently a Master’s student in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She completed an academic exchange at Universität Rostock, Germany, where she was involved in research activities related to stem cell biology. Her current research focuses on the investigation of bioactive compounds and their effects on stem cells and cancer-related cellular models, aiming to better understand cellular responses, mechanisms of action, and potential therapeutic applications in oncology.

Mr. Francis ("Frank") O'Keeffe is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame Australia (Sydney). He is currently a PhD candidate nearing the end of his doctoral studies. His research investigates the ethical status of the human embryo. He is perhaps best known for an article titled, "Twinning and Individuation: An Appraisal of the Current Model and Ethical Implications." This work challenges the commonly held belief that identical twins may be formed by embryo splitting up to the fourteenth day of human embryogenesis. Mr O'Keeffe's research has also rejected the possibility that two separate human embryos could fuse into a single viable entity, which has prompted him to propose alternative models by which human chimeras may be formed. He is a critic of legislation which permits embryo experimentation during the first two weeks of human development. He has obtained a Master of Bioethics (MBioeth) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from LaTrobe University (Melbourne).

Mr. Calvin Jefferson is a Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) candidate at Touro University Worldwide and a published author, fine artist, and healthcare professional with over 15 years of experience. His work explores the intersection of socioeconomic equity and public trust in emerging biomedical technologies. Mr. Jefferson’s recent research focuses on regenerative medicine and ethical disparities in patient access and perception. He is also a Service-Disabled Veteran and founder of CE Jefferson Properties LLC.

Mrs. Mina Shajarizadeh is a Ph.D. student in Molecular Medicine group department at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. She obtained her Master’s degree in Medical Parasitology in 2018 and her Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Sciences from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran. She possesses over eleven years of professional experience in laboratories and research, including Cellular and Molecular biology,Biochemistry and Microbiology departments , and Management of Quality Control (QC) Processes in Clinical laboratories. Her research interests focus on stem cell biology and the expression of key genes in cellular differentiation, with a strong emphasis on regenerative medicine and cell therapy. She has collaborated on numerous scientific projects, such as investigating Ascl1 expression in human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and their differentiation into pancreatic beta cells, and examining the effects of exosomes secreted by hepatocytes under hyperglycemic conditions on insulin receptors in pancreatic cancer cell lines.

Dr. Amrita Natarajan is a biomedical researcher with a multidisciplinary background in dentistry, nanomedical sciences, and bioengineering. She holds a B.D.S. from the Army College of Dental Sciences, an M.Tech in Nanomedical Sciences from AIMS, and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering with a focus on Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine from SCTIMST, India. She has received prestigious fellowships from ICMR and CSIR, and has worked on DST-SERB-funded research. Her expertise lies in the development of advanced biomaterials, 3D bioprinted constructs, and in vitro disease models for regenerative therapies targeting cartilage, bone, and kidney tissues. Her work includes biomimetic scaffolds for cartilage repair, patterned hydrogels for renal tissue modeling, electrospun tubule models, and 3D-printed lattice scaffolds for various tissue regeneration applications. Dr. Natarajan previously served as Project Scientist C at ICMR, where she contributed to national biomedical ethics policy, including India’s 2023 CHIS policy statement. Currently, she is a National Science Foundation–funded Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Alabama State University, focusing on AI-driven renal tissue engineering. She also serves on doctoral advisory committees at multiple institutions. Her long-term vision integrates bioinspired design with advanced fabrication technologies for tissue repair and organ function restoration.

Dr. Sowmithra is a Postdoctoral associate in Dr. Janghoo Lim lab in the Department of Genetics, Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, United States. She holds a PhD in Biophysics from National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bengaluru and master’s in biotechnology and molecular medicine from India. She studied the ‘Neuroprotective role of Mesenchymal stem cells on neural progenitors against hypoxic ischemic like injury’ under the guidance of Dr. Indrani Datta for her doctoral studies. In Lim lab she investigated the cellular phenotypes in human iPSCs derived neurons and astrocytes of spinocerebellar ataxia type 1.

Dr. Massar Alsamraae is a molecular biologist with extensive experience in cancer metabolism and tumor microenvironment research. He earned his Ph.D. from the Northern Institute for Cancer Research at Newcastle University, UK, where he investigated molecular mechanisms of drug resistance and cell signaling in cancer. Currently, his work focuses on metabolic reprogramming, lactate transport, and senescence in cancer progression and metastasis. His research integrates molecular biology, cell biology, and translational approaches to identify novel therapeutic targets in aggressive cancers.

Dr. Mohammadali Zolfaghari is a PhD in Molecular Medicine and a Diplomate & Alpha Affiliated member of the American Board of Regenerative Medicine (ABRM). He serves as the Research and Development Manager at the Molecular Immunology Research Center, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and represents Celltech Pharmed Company as its exclusive sales representative. His expertise lies in regenerative medicine, immunotherapy, and precision medicine, with a focus on translating laboratory discoveries into clinical applications.
